[Solved] Can't launch app on android

Ah, yes. I think I’m still on 11. Thank you

I agree it’s not very helpful to reinstall past settings but it will be useful for future settings because the restricted folder is absolutely the most horrendous thing Google has ever done and somebody needs to find a fix for this even XDA doesn’t have a solution that’s perfectly viable and I’m kind of getting sick of hearing use the mark file manager because all it does is use the systems data picker and it can’t transfer files when I tried it ended up deleting everything thank you Google you’re absolutely useless today.

If you could tell me how you copied the settings folder out of Android data that would be wonderful I tried doing everything that was suggested online and through people like XDA and all it did was erase the files that I was trying to transfer somewhere else

I’m not on modern Android (I’m running LineageOS 7.1), so I forgot about / am unfamiliar with how annoying it is to manage files there. So I don’t have any advice about that, sorry.

@dkazakov
I have got access to the beta rollout now, sorry for taking a while to get around to testing.
I have a Samsung galaxy s8, which is running android 14.
The app loads up fine now, and I have checked that it’s 5.2.8.
I am able to open and save documents without issue.
Audio playback is working fine also.
I hope this is helpful, let me know if there is anything else you need to test.

A post was split to a new topic: Moved resources to external drive, unable to use Krita

I don’t think it is possible to ask Krita to actually store settings outside of the folder that Android devoted to Krita. You can change this folder via system configuration by “move data folder to SD card” android feature.

Though we can implement a feature that allows exporting all Krita settings via some kind of .zip file and import it back. That is possible. Please remind me about this feature in a month or so, I will try to implement it (or ask someone to implement itm it shoudl be a really easy patch)
