Some panels for my webtoon

Hello, It’s been a long time
Here are some panels (and maybe some wip steps) I’m preparing for my webtoon.

Unnecessary backstory for the curious:
I’ve been working on my scenario in the past year or so to finish my webtoon (wrap everything up). Since I was doodling too much while thinking, I was not efficient and I took the difficult decision to drop my sketch threads to force myself only doodling storyboard panels.

However, now I’m starting to produce panels so why not share some as I go ?

Wow, that’s some amazing quality for a webtoon! Won’t this take like a lifetime to complete?

Thank you ! Hmmm, well I’ve been known for being slow, even if the webtoon actually contains all kinds of horribly rushed drawing I’m ashamed of.
However since it’s a come back and it’s the first panel showing the main character… I couldn’t just do it lazily

Next panel is a zoom out but drawing the leaves took way more time than the face…

The challenge for me is to keep enough consistency between panels of the same scene while I’m totally freestyling my process…
So generally I catch my breath longer than I draw

This one is really puzzling me. Everytime I look at it with a fresh eye, I can’t help but being disappointed. Yet I can’t tell why.
One thing for sure, I really have a hard time with the brush work. I feel I can’t find the right one…

I like each of them. There’s something about that last one that appeals the most to me. Maybe it’s the way you painted the leaves leading into the golden horizon. Gorgeous.

Is that a horse chestnut or a sweet chestnut?

Dirty minds might say it’s a sweet horse chestnut. Butt ! Only some extra manipulation will help us determine if it’s edible or not

this one was a marathon… I didn’t finish. As a panel it took a ridiculous amount of time I can’t put in every image, so I’m stopping here I think.

The picture below looks more like what I could do in a standard amount of time:

Sparing you the various faces I gave her
