Messsing with brushes! Hence the mess 
Based on a photo I took.
Wow!! The lighting was amazing, I liked the reflections in the water, and the place reminds me a lot of the landscapes where I live
I actually really like the messy look! Turned out great!

@SebSepia I just noticed the scribbled branches among the tree trunks near the top… excellent!!
The fact that I had to really look at it to notice they are just circular scribbles is what makes it so cool
good job, i think playing with brushes is really important if you want to achieve new results and can be adictive. for me is like adding a personal touch to your paintings. and is important if you want to be unique.

I’m glad you like them, it’s my favorite part of the painting! I used brushes I made based on my own real life scribbles. Since it’s always the same scribble repeated it looks more like a repeating pattern and reads more like branches. I used the same technique on the trunk. Repetition of brush patterns by raising the brush spacing works suuuper well for selling texture. I got that from studying yun ling!
