Hello and welcome to the forum

It sounds like you have Brush Smoothing set to Stabiliser, a medium to high Distance, maybe no or small Delay, Finish Line enabled.
Stabiise Sensors being enabled makes it do that with all brushes wheras if it’s disabled then it doesn’t complete the line.

A medium to high Delay will make the brush lag as the averaged location is calculated so this is to be expected.

It may be that the Weighted smoothing option would be better for you.

Hi! Thanks for answering. My distance is set to 3 and delay is disabled. The problem is that when i make a line, this one doesn’t appear until i finish it. As I’ve seen in videos the stabilizer works as a normal brush but smoothing the line, the line follows in real time the hand movement. In my case the canvas doesn’t show any line until its finished. I don’t know if i’m explaining myself well…

Which version are you using? If it’s Krita 4.4.2, can you please check if Krita 4.4.1 has this issue too?

@Fer_Falomir - Also, can you upload a full screen screenshot (.png) with the Tool Options docker visible while you’re having this situation?

If possible, can you make a video screenshot of this happening and share it via a link to a file sharing service or something similar?

What’s it like if you use Weighted smoothing?

@tiar - I see no differences between appimages 4.3.0 to 4.4.2.

With the settings described, there should be no noticable delay or lag.

Hi, thanks for your reply. Im in krita 4.4.2. I’ve checked and it isn’t working in 4.4.1 neither.

Of course ill do that when i can and show you. Weighted smoothing is fine, actually im always using the basic option, i just wanted to have everything working fine.

Yes, that’s quite understandable. If you have any other strange behaviour when painting then please mention it.

As I said, I have no problem with the appimages on Linux so it’s possible that this is a Mac thing or it may be something subtle about your settings or your Huion tablet.

What if you disable Canvas Graphics Acceleration in Configure Krita -> Display (and restart Krtia)? Does it work better then?

Hi, here is the screenshot video about it:

You can’t see my hand but you can check that the line appears suddenly when i finish the movement.

Anyways, it must be something with my tablet because it is working right with my mouse. Im not good with this devices so if you know something about how to fix it please tell me.

Thank you for everything!

Hi! This worked! I disabled it and its working fine. Thanks a lot for your help guys.

With that canvas size, brush and settings, I have instant response to the stylus with canvas graphics acceleration enabled or disabled.
I’m using a Wacom Intuos tablet and the appimage.

Maybe it needs another Mac user to have a look at it?

That’s not a great news though - it means that your graphics card drivers are kind of inconsistent or just wrong - it’s a bit common on MacOS, unfortunately, since Apple doesn’t like Open-anything and Krita can only use OpenGL there. I believe the newest supported OpenGL is from 10 years ago or something like that.

Try to reinstall your graphics drivers, but if it still won’t work, I guess you will have to get used to it having it turned off. Generally Canvas Graphics Acceleration makes Krita’s canvas faster - like rotating etc. But sometimes on MacOS it doesn’t even do that (sometimes makes things slower!), so - just letting you that your experience in Krita is worse than it would be on Windows or Linux with good drivers…

Well, but as long as you can use it and it’s good enough for you, then good
