Study practice

These are all standard watercolor and oil RGBA brushes from Krita, I combine them all, in some places, to add transparency, it’s enough just to reduce the transparency of the brush itself

@Gertsa_Ivan Please give credit to the original creator of that image and a link to where it can be downloaded from.

This is required in accordance with the Code of Conduct:

8. Post Only Your Own Stuff

You may not post anything that belongs to someone else without permission. The exception is reference images, in which case every attempt should be made to credit the artist or photographer by name. In all cases a link to the image owner’s website must be included.

Please deal with this matter as soon as possible.

this drawing was made as part of a challenge on the discord channel. The references were not chosen by me, so I do not know the author.

If you can’t provide a link to where you obtained the image then it must be removed.

I don’t understand what the problem is, the point of the study is to study nature or photography. This reference is taken from open sources and I have drawn everything by hand. What could be the problem?

I’ve removed the image.

If you can provide a link to where you obtained it from then you can post the link.

If you can’t demonstrate that you have the creators/owners permission, by some statement on the website source, that you may use the image for personal use, then you can’t upload it to this forum.

Also, you can provide a link to your own file sharing service if you want to do that.

Is this a licensing thing? is uploading a reference picture considered distribution?

It’s about giving credit to the original creator/owner of the image.
If you can download an image from somewhere on the internet then you can easily give a link to where it was downloaded from.
For use as a reference (for making your own artwork) then you don’t strictly need to say who the original creator is but you do have to give a link to where you got it from.

If you can’t provide such a link then you can give a link to your personal Google Drive (or similar service) so that anyone who wants to see it can have a look at it.

There are many people on the forum who use reference images and they upload them and they give credit to the original artist and they give links to where the reference image can be downloaded from.
This is all in accordance with the Code of Conduct of the forum.
