Can you make a bug report for this, because we’re pretty sure it is not fixable before 5.2.3 but it does need to be fixed eventually.

Hi @wolthera , I will create a ticket for tracking, however this audio problem seems like an easy fix. One way to do it is the following (maybe not the most optimal way, feel free to use it or improve it).
However, I found a worse bug, affecting 5.2.3 as well as master. It looks like a threading race condition during timeline scrubbing (seek). This is a hang/crash, so a more severe problem 
Maybe I’ll post a video to demonstrate, but it should be possible to reproduce like this:
- Open a new document with an animation timeline.
- Add any audio track (to switch to the MLT engine; the length of the audio shouldn’t matter)
- Change playback settings to
start frame 0
end frame 5000
FPS 100 - Hit play
- As the playback goes on, keep clicking and slightly dragging on the frame numbers to rewind the playback to the clicked frames. Eventually it will freeze due to threads deadlocking with the call stack pointing to
KisPlaybackEngineMLT::Private::pushAudio(int).
I’d appreciate it if anyone else can reproduce this too, just to confirm. Thanks.
PS. 5.2.2 is affected too, it’s very easy to crash it.

Yes. Krita freezes following your steps in both nightly builds.

Portable Beta build has much slower brush rendering(smoothing is off) (lags behind cursor) than installed 5.2.2 while all the setting seem to be the same.

After a recent update from play store on Android, 5.2.3(beta1) gets stuck upon opening or creating a new canvas, doesn’t open the canvas unless I minimize Krita and open it back.
Could you give us information about the version (help → about krita-> (git SHA)), which is installed on your tablet and which tablet you are using?
On my tablet a cannot reproduce your described error. (My krita is on git 68d178c)
68d178c, same as you wrote here, on a Samsung Tab S8 device.

Sounds like bug 488606 – After Krita launches and you first open a file, the canvas will not show up until you rotate the screen orientation. I’ve now confirmed it on 5.2.3.
Commit 68d178c is actually 5.2.3-final, not beta, seems that the Play Store got the update a few days ago.

Yes, just tested it and rotating the screen does the job as described in the bug report. Good to know its a known issue, hope it gets fixed soon. Nightly versions dont have this issue either as far as I have noticed as well (though the report is for 5.3.0 nightly, weird that it is seemingly working fine for me)

when opening the “export advanced” window, picking PNG format (also tested with TIFF, I guess all format for which there is two or more tabs will have the issue), going to the second tab (resize) then back to the first one then back to resize => it’s all empty !

i have a problem with the selection thingy sometimes it turns invisible and i have to close krita and reopen it to fix the issue
@Ramen5000 This thread was created for reporting on the beta 5.2.3 Beta1. The beta is over. You should now be using 5.2.3 stable.
Please feel free to make your own post stating the version # of Krita you’re using and don’t forget to name your operating system (Windows? Android? etc. )
