Our brain is probably the strangest thing on earth!
Most of us get attracted to digital medium for different reasons,but sooner or later we start wishing it to act like real medium and I was not an exception !
The sensation of using almost real watercolour,pencil,chalk ,ink ,oil were becoming available in digital format,but my brain always missed the “ mental illusion” of holding the pen,brush etc along with their organic sounds!
A decade ago,I came across a free software named AZDRAWING 2.
Someone created a slightly modified fork of that software where one can use a “ digital nib” simulation instead of the boring generic cursor ! At that time,it blew my mind away,because mentally it gave me a different kind of sensation to connect “organically” inside a digital medium!
With time,the limited option/ resource of this software forced me to look towards other software and gradually I forgot about it.
Recently I came across the beautiful plug in created by@TengriKhan, called custom brush cursor.
It has so many great options,specially importing and customizing your own custom cursors! The “mental illusion” of holding the pen,brush etc returned with greater impact !
…and I believed that’s all for now,but NO !
After some days,I have managed to find another great plug in created by@ davi133 ,which is called Brush SFX! This one can mimic the sound of organic tools quite closely …which was as fantastic as the custom brush cursor plug in!
So when I started to use combining both plug ins at the same time,the result just stunned me ! It created such a “realistic” creative sensation inside me,that I am feeling a little overwhelmed !
So through this post ,I want to thank both the creators for creating these fantastic plug ins !
I only wish maybe one day both of these plug ins can get combined inside a single docker and we can create & save at least one single customized profile for each media (like a custom single ink brush preset with custom nib cursor + nib sound sfx).
