This was my entry for the November 2025 Art Challenge: “Civilization engulfed by nature”.
I wanted to represent the actual part of nature that is threatening to engulf us in real life, and that is: water! You know, the rising oceans, the floodings etc. But drawing buildings, even ruined ones, isn’t exactly my favourite thing to do, I very much prefer to draw characters, creatures and animals… So I tried to illustrate my point with an aquatic animal eating a piece of technology that is the most emblematic of our modern civilization, and spiced things up by giving that device a semblance of life through a well-known virtual character!
