I love the Assistant Tool in Krita. It works so well that at some point I overuse it. I felt like I was losing the ability to drawing by hand - so now I use snapping much less often.

It looks really good. The angle, the contrast in warm and cool tones, and I really like the painterly look/brushwork.

have you seen my thread here? Planned changes to assistants coming in 2022 (or later) - of course the “or later” was very much a necessary addition since I haven’t managed to complete any bigger part of it… but still, it shows the direction I want the tool to go in. it would be good to have someone really experienced with the tool in practice go over the list and comment on it, maybe add your own suggestions or voice your opinion on the existing ones. No promises on acting too swiftly on it, though… I’m not working on the assistants right now and I don’t know when I will be able to start again.
