This attempt at character design took me about 7 hours and 30 minutes to finish. The main idea was not just to use a reference, but to combine it with imagination in order to design a character. I can definitely see lots of mistakes, but I also plan to learn from them. Let me know what you think!

It’s good, but I think you should check some reference images for the armour too.

I agree! Back and forth between referenced images and from imagination is how you build up skill.
It can be scary sometimes for sure! I think it is very important not just to overcome this fear, but also to make it your strength, the desire to build and experiment.
