The priority of Alt + letter shortcuts is lower than that of the menu bar.
Currently, custom shortcuts have lower priority than the menu bar, causing related shortcuts to fail:
For example, setting Alt+W to is ineffective because Alt+W is already occupied by the menu bar’s option.
As shown in the image, the menu bar’s shortcuts occupy as many as 11 letters.
Could this be improved so that user-defined shortcut keys take precedence over the system menu bar shortcuts?
As far as I know, that’s not possible. To my knowledge, this is standard in every operating system. The only way to “unlock” them would be to manually clean up some of Krita’s main configuration files, but you shouldn’t do that because it’s prone to errors!
