Drawn ink and marker on bristol, finished digitally in Krita. For my upcoming tarot card deck which eventually will be on kickstarter and my website but it’s taking a good while, this is a lot of work! (sure looks pretty though, if I may humbly say so…)

This is beautiful. I like how you scanned in the drawing to finish it. I’ve thought about doing something similar with some of my old sketches, and after seeing this I might follow through on it.

I learned traditional fine art first before moving to digital much later. At first I tried to be 100% digital but it just didn’t feel that “natural” to me (if that makes sense) so I eventually adopted a hybrid approach where I now always do the sketch and often part of the shading trad so i can get the organic feel for the piece. And then I switch to digital to finish so i can add in the special effects and change my mind 100 times about what colors I want.

I like that. I’ve tried sketching digitally a lot but it’s neve felt as easy as sketching with pencil and paper (or pen).
Amazing website btw. I checked it out and you have A LOT of amazing work on there. Really cool stuff. I have my own too, (though the art on there isn’t near as good as your’s is)
I’m not terrible with the digital tools (brushes, effects, etc.), but I really need a lot more practice with the some of the fundamentals. Especially anatomy more then anything. I’ve took 2 life drawing classes in college but have been deciding if I want to find one again or just keep practicing with books on my own?
