Thickness of stroke

Hi. I wanted to change thickness of my basic work’s lines, after i draw its’ the line art part. I used “select shapes tool” then went to “stroke” part… But, there was not options for thickness as mentioned here: https://docs.krita.org/en/reference_manual/tools/shape_selection.html

How can i change lineart’s thickness after i draw it? Why cant i see thickness option at stroke?

Can you show a screenshot of the part where you have the shape selected and the Stroke tab of the Tool Options docker selected?
There is a possibility that the Tool Options docker is not tall enough to show the line thickness option and that you may have to scrolll down inside it.

I realized that i can adjust “thickness” of line art @vektor layers. But, i cant adjust it @paint layers. Can I adjust thickness of lineart at paint layer?

Only by painting next to it manually. It’s just pixels now.

You can however use Freehand Path Tool on vector layers, that should help with a lineart that you want to adjust thickness of later. Or Calligraphy Tool.

There is a way of adjusting the thickness of paint layer lineart provided that you don’t want to change the thickness by a large amount and that the following conditions are met:

  1. No sharp edges or sudden curves.
  2. No rentrant curves or cusps.
  3. No lines close to each other.
  4. The lineart is on a white layer, not a transparent layer.
  5. The resulting lineart will be black.

If you apply a Gaussian Blur (Filter -> Blur -> Gaussian Blur) to the lineart of about the same size as the width of the lineart and then use Filter -> Adjust -> Threshold and adjust the threshold point, you can make the lineart thicker or thinner. You will lose any fine details and there will be distortion of curves if you try to change it too much.

If you need to do this to existing simple lineart then it’s a possible solution.

Thanks for responds. I tried Gaussian Blur, and couldnt manage in a good result with my basic eye-around lines. It made all lines blury, not sharp with my try. Also conditions are the thing. On the other hand, Freehand Path, and Calligraphy Tools changing line positions just after i take back my pen from tablet. Pixel brush for restore all needed zones, or vector layer(need experience within) seems the best solution for now. I learned some stuffs here aswell. And, i changed basic lines manually. As a result, i would like to share drawing here(eye zone’s lines changed completely/manually & merged).

Since someone already mentioned thickening lines if the line art is on a white background, I’ll tell you about the other solution that works in that situation. Go to the filter tab and run the G’MIC filter. When it opens go down the category list to Artistic and open that, then search down the list to Poster Edges. When that is opened you’ll have a whole bunch of sliders that allow you to antialias, smooth and thicken the line work. The G’MIC filter is a plugin that is a part of Krita but you have to install it first, I think in settings or configure Krita. Anyway the G’Mic filter has a ton of things to play with and is worth installing.

Poster Edges’ thickness slide(or others) didn’t help much. I tested some more filters, jpr line edges at least. Thanks for G’MIC plugin btw. It’s pretty cool!
