Once you made icon edit you can confirm by overwriting the brush (clickable overwrite button).
right now if all you want to do is an edit to the icon you have to make edit some paramter then undo it to activate the overwrite button
I made the mistake of saving as new brush and ended up making a copy of the brush.

When I made my recent brush kit, I changed the icons alone three or four time (to adapt their contrast or color family). Since Krita 5, itâs better to do it on the GUI directly than trying to edit the KPP preset files directly as an image. So, I had to do radomly âlower a value, higher a valueâ of the brush, so the preset was marked âdirty/changedâ with the little pen icon, all of that to unlock the âOverwrite Buttonâ. It wasnât a fluid workflow to do on 38 brushes. (also, renaming the brush doesnât affect the way the brush is sorted on a tag, but thatâs another issue that made me restart Krita a hundred of times to ârefreshâ the database).
