Touchscreen stylus not working on Gnome 50

Type of device* : 2-in-1 laptop
Brand and version of the device: Microsoft Surface Pro 9
System** : Arch Linux x86_64

* graphics tablet/display tablet/2-in-1 laptop/Android tablet
** Windows/Linux/Mac/Android, + version (you’ll find it in Help -> Show system information for bug reports)

Description of the issue (you can include screenshots):

After a recent upgrade from Gnome 49 to Gnome 50 on my Arch Linux system, Krita no longer registers any input from the stylus of my tablet. The cursor still hovers under where I hold the stylus, but tapping and attempting to draw does nothing.

I suspect this has to do with this issue in the Mutter repo. For reference, I’m also running the linux-surface kernel with iptsd. I’ve tried downgrading Gnome/Mutter, Krita, and the kernel, to no avail.

If anyone else is having similar issues, and if anyone has workarounds for this, please share! I’m hoping to fix this soon so I can finish the commission I’m working on.

There has been issues with XWayland breaking tablet stuff recently, so that may be the package you need to downgrade.

This fixed it, thank you so much! I downgraded from 24.1.10 to 24.1.9. My commission is saved…
