I haven’t had the chance to try out krita’s animation tools much before this project and I’m glad I gave it a shot ^v^ Someday I’d like to do more complex animations when I’m better acquainted with the tools; I learned how to clone frames and move groups and make loops (kind of?).
It was overwhelming at first but ultimately very fun and rewarding! I’m sure there are easier ways to do the janky things I did HAHA but sometimes it’s better to just dive in and figure things out on the fly instead of getting stuck watching tutorials.

Great job, nice and comfy scene, keep up the good work!
May be power line poles or trees sliding outside the window would make the train’s movement more visible.

absolutely adorable!!! i really love the colours you chose for this! also trust that the animation tools in Krita will soon become muscle memory, out of all the animation software i’ve used, Krita’s was the most comfy.
i cant wait to see what you make next :] your art is eye candy <3

It’s a lovely animation
For anything like this, I do right-click → Open image in new tab, to see it full screen. or as big as it can be.

Thank you very much! About your suggestion, I wanted to do that initially but decided not to because it would have required a fair bit of redrawing if I want it to cast shadows into the train. Definitely something I want to pursue when I have more experience under my belt!
@anon61164405 I’ll do my best!
Thank you!
@AhabGreybeard Thank you as well! It’s actually super tiny in its actual resolution (135x240pixels) and I resized it 4x here. Lospec is a godsend. I rendered it at the original size with krita but I had trouble resizing the layers in krita (things kept disappearing) so I just scaled the output.
