I was trying here but the pictures of paint strokes I took could use more depth.

Trying to create High-Res animated brush

[not bad start] animated brush (5 into 1): https://www.dropbox.com/s/l6dqap6m2itm9jr/five-strokestry1.gih?dl=1 i think ill get there soon. it can be a challenge to remove the brush from the canvas but getting better. you can get really cool blend mode effect when you add an emboss filter to the painted layer [emboss filter then play with blend mode] Here I duplicated the emboss layer. one had multiply the other divide: [neat effect-01]

I took one rgba brush in krita
I took a png of your file, put in in the brush setting, than played with options.
