Tutorial: How to create Impasto/RGBA brushes

true i think you can download an advertisement free Appimage without the ads (not sure)
Photopea – AppImageHub
I just took a photograph of a real painting at home and tried to produce a brush from it.

added the oil stylize effect from photopea to it

Edit: getting high resolution pictures of the paintings so ill have crisp details.
Hopefully I can post 5+ new brushes in this style

i’ll create a brush tip pack soon but trying to get better at creatingtips for now

RGBA was actually Ramon’s term, since he used that to describe his DAOil brushes even before I created the Lightness option. His brushtips actually were colored though, since you couldn’t choose your own color before the Lightness option existed. You just had to paint with an orange, blueish-green, or gray brush (those were the colors in his brushpack). My original purpose for Lightness mode was to make Color Stamp style brushes that you could change the color of, for quickly drawing large amounts of grass, leaves, etc, but when I saw Ramon’s DAOil brushes, I realized the mode would also allow the impasto effect he got with those to be used with any color, and that excited all the rest of the artists here
