Ubuntu 21.10 Wacom One stylus draws are very light

Type of device* : Wacom One
Brand and version of the device: Wacom One
System** : Ubuntu 21.10

* graphics tablet/display tablet/2-in-1 laptop/Android tablet : Graphics tablet
** Windows/Linux/Mac/Android, + version (you’ll find it in Help -> Show system information for bug reports)

Description of the issue (you can include screenshots): In Windows 10, the same tablet is working fine. But when I use with Ubuntu 21.10, every stylus drawing is very very light. Is there anything I can do to fix this? Thanks.

It’s a busy day for you isn’t it!

Which version number of krita are you using?

The obvious questions are: Are you using the same brush preset each time?
Which brush preset is it? (Try testing with Basic-2 Opacity or Basic-5 Size.)

With Windows, have you adjusted the tablet driver settings utility to vary the pressure response curve in any way at any time?

In Windows or Linux, have you made any changes to the Input Pressure Global Curve?

You are right. It could be the version. 4.4.8 in Windows 10 and 5.0 in Ubuntu 21.10.

For almost all. I tried a few. Only thick brushes are visible. The pencil are not visible at all.

I have not anything related to tablet on both OS. I installed Krita and started to learn by trial

No.

I am happy I registered here

If you go to Settings → Configure Krita → Tablet Settings, there is a large button labelled Open Tablet Tester. That will open the Tablet Tester window.
Drag-resize the tablet tester window to make it conveniently large and then use the stylus draw on the grid area.

You’ll see a rapidly growing list of tablet events in the right side.
These include the pressure signal P=xy.z%

You should be able to easily make that signal go from a very low value to 100% in a controlled way by varying the stylus pressure. e.g:

Stylus move X=137.65 Y=83.95 B=1 P=100.0% (DRAW)
Stylus move X=137.15 Y=84.16 B=1 P=98.4% (DRAW)
Stylus move X=136.31 Y=84.49 B=1 P=92.2% (DRAW)
Stylus move X=135.63 Y=84.70 B=1 P=80.8% (DRAW)
Stylus move X=134.45 Y=85.02 B=1 P=60.7% (DRAW)
Stylus move X=133.78 Y=85.13 B=1 P=0.0% (DRAW)

Can you?

I am on Windows 10 now due for work-related use. Please allow me a few hours so that I can test and report back. Thanks.

No problem, conversations can spread out over days here.

Hi, please see

Looks like I got lucky. Because after drawing this, the styles drawings are clearly visible. Thanks.
