Using ABR brushes in Krita 5.1.5

I’m having trouble getting a certain brushset to work in krita. Some abr’s like the coulds i have work but for some reason this one doesnt? anyone have any idea why?

 Hello @Kamonster and welcome to the forum!

The PP-Clouds are from the Paolo Pugglioni Cloud-brush-bundle, if I remember this correctly, and this works if you have imported the bundle-file that ships with them.
The one at the bottom of your Manage Resource Libraries-Window will most probably have no bundle-file that is associated with it, but that would be needed to make the brush-tips to a complete preset, because ABR’s are for Krita only brush-tips, Krita can not read the settings in these Adobe Brush Resource-Files, that is because Adobe does not openly communicate how to read such an ABR.

Unfortunately, I’m in a hurry and can not explain it in deep, so I hope you can grasp what I wanted to tell you. But you can use the search-function of the forum to find dozens of topics about the misconception some users have regarding ABR-Files, just click on the magnifying-glass symbol on top of the forum to search for a topic you are interested in.

Hey ya! Thanks for the quick reply! I do understand how abr files work and that it’s only the brush tips. The problem I’m having is that said brush tips don’t show up in the brush editor list when I go to make a custom brush so I can use the tips. On top of that some bundle files I use don’t work properly either but thats a diffrent topic and I assume their just not updated to thr latest version yet.

In case you’ve issues with the brush-tips from the Paolo Puggioni - Krita Cloud Brushes, then I have a solution for you, because I just have uploaded them into my cloud fully converted into a bundle for Krita from version 5 up.
You’ll find the topic where I present the bundle under this link:

In case your issues lie in the “JeremyFenske_brushset2.abr”, I’ve uploaded a version of this ABR-File that I’ve converted into an older ABR-Format Krita can read, because it seemed to me that this ABR was created for newer PS-Versions, but Krita can’t read these new ABR’s. Because this set is offered free of charge, I was so cheeky to upload the converted set to my cloud too:

In case you have issues with other brushes or bundles, feel free to ask for support with them. We would need the name of the brush, bundle or the ABR-File with which you have issues, and if possible the download-location from where you got this resource, so we don’t need to guess.
Depending on the course of a procedure, I will spend at least three days in the hospital from tomorrow afternoon on.
But there are enough knowledgeable users here on the forum who know about resources, so you should find support.

You talked about problems with more bundles in your first post, you didn’t mean iForce73’s bundles by any chance? I just uploaded a first of for now three iForce73 bundles in the resources section of the forum.
I will hopefully be able to upload the other two in the next two weeks.

You can find bundle #1 here:
