Valkyrie Guinevere - OC

Lineart done in CSP; color, shading and highlights done in Krita. It’s convenient how Krita supports PSD files because I’m able to use my artworks between the programs without losing my layers. I saved my CSP lines as PSD file and continued painting in Krita. The highlights were my biggest worry but I was able to use Luminosity to replace Add(Glow). This version of my OC looks far better than the one I did completely in CSP.

I wanted to draw a sword as well but I’m not good at drawing objects yet😢

Thank you!

I like the pose! I wonder if you experimented with less saturated colors? Personally, I’m yet before tacking shading, flats is as far as I go, so I applaud your effort!

I couldn’t help but smile a little at your comment about the sword. Try it! Human body is much more complex, I think it would look fine

Slightly off topic, but why do you use CSP for lineart? Does it have some special feature that is missing in Krita? I haven’t tried CSP myself, but I might, if only to have a comparison.

There are a few lineart brushes that I downloaded a few weeks ago on CSP. I like using them since my lines look far better than using the brushes on krita. I use Marc Brunet’s rough lineart brush to do my rough sketch and a custom G-pen(can’t remember the ID) from CS Assets. If I feel like it then I’ll use the other lineart brushes that I downloaded but the custom G-pen i mentioned is the one I use most of the time to do lineart.
