Since I create many of my concept works using assets already created for other drawings, such as trees and rocks, the transform tool is by far one of the most important tools for me, especially the perspective transformation.

As an example, a current project requires dozens of different concept drawings for caves of all kinds, and since I don’t want to redraw the stone texture every time, I’m using three self-drawn stone textures which I move around using perspective transformation wherever I have a large area to fill.

This work here, as an example, consists of the aforementioned three textures duplicated dozens of times and uniquely shaded, so that the patterns are not noticeable:

Without the details and assets, the textures used are much more visible:

Because heavy use of perspective transformation ruins the depth of the texture and makes it look like a 2D plane, it is all the more important to emphasize the details again using drawn shadows and highlights.
