What does the “KRA” stand for in the “.KRA” file extension?

In case this additional context is helpful, “kra” means “caw” in Polish, as in the sound that ravens make: “caw caw!”

Its just KRITA but without the IT. But I also read once it stands for Krita Raster Archive but while it sounds plausible there are no official sources for that and I believe it doesn’t stand for anything in particular.

@Takiro, “Krita Raster Archive” appears to be correct, for invent.kde.org/documentation/docs-krita-org/-/blob/master/general_concepts/file_formats/file_kra.rst?plain=1#L3 is titled:
