I am curious.
In you day-to-day job/hobby what filters do you use the most?

Okay, so this is an off-topic answer in the off-topic talks category.¹
So the most used filter for me so far has been the →
coffee filter.
The second most used is a sepia-filter.

¹ I’m just asking myself, am I on topic now?
I don’t use any filters, I just paint.
My most used filters in order:
I use the mean removal filters, sharpen and from gmic retrofade, vibration, engrave and cmk tone
I haven’t really used any filters besides the Sharpen filter whenever I save sketches as a PNG so I can post them on my instagram, the filters I haven’t really explored so far yet. The regular filters already have a lot of options for me, the G’MIC filters is another layer of the iceberg I haven’t touched at all. The G’MIC filters also slightly lag and load really slow for me, so I just don’t use the G’MIC filters at all.
Sweet!
Yeah, it is just kitchen coffee talk
Interesting. It is just like drawing with a pencil but digitally. Do you get the final peace by just drawing it from the ground up? No post-processing, color correction, nothing?
Wow! Quite a few? By the list, it seems you like making comix. Is not it?
Never used one. What what purposes do you use it?
Indeed. It is like a completely separate world.
I do everything else in paint.net including Gray to alpha and G’mic as plugin filters. It’s just far more extensive. Only HSV adjustment gets regular use by me
Nice. Image tweaking that is)
Do the Multiply/Screen type layers count as filters? If so, I use a multiply layer on top of a lot of my drawings to help with additional shading. Also the Overlay and Soft Light layers for lighting.
I use the Alpha lock to keep things neat.
Occasionally I will use a blur to create depth in the background.
Yup, drawn from ground up… Sketched first then painted in. Take a look at my portfolio here on Krita-Artists. None of them were done with any filters. It was fun painting them. My w.i.p. posts show my setup.
