Why is the color wheel in black and white?

Why is my color wheel only showing black and white colors? How do I fix it?

Can you take a full screenshot of krita including layer docker and the status bar, so we can see what happened?

It’s possible you’re not on a normal layer. Are you on a filter layer? if you’re not sure, give us a screenshot of your entire workspace, including the bottom status bar and have the layers docker in view.

When your image is in grayscale color profile, grayscale is all the colors you get.

This is the bit depth and color space you are in, if you’d like to convert your current image into RGB, go to Image -> Convert Image Color Space and set your settings to this:

Then, to make sure you don’t make an image like this again, you can go to to File -> new and make sure it is set like this:
