Window ui change suggestions

Krita is almost perfect, But I think this change would make the ui more consistent.
The window/canvas having the same buttons as the dockers, which to me looks really clean.

Another idea is when krita’s multiple document is set to Tabs. I think it would be nice if the tabs were hidden if you go into canvas-only mode. Like on subwindows mode. So i would just be able to see the tabs only outside of canvas-only mode.

Hiding the tab bar in canvas-only mode would require leaving canvas-only mode to switch documents, which I feel would be more intrusive than just having the tab bar. It would make sense to hide it when only one document it open, though.

On a somewhat related note: if you close your only document via the tab bar, you’re sent back to the home screen, and you can’t leave canvas-only mode from that unless you open/make another document. You can enter canvas-only mode from the home screen, but not leave it. Seems like a bug?

No, this is not a bug, @eishiya. Anytime you close all open documents, whether you’re in canvas-only mode or not, you will be bumped back to the start screen.

A similar request was posted before the summer here: Extra doc title bar when multiple documents are opened in windowed mode. Is this ui behavior changeable? . Unfortunately, this part can’t be themed and changed.

Maybe in the future there will be some way, but not at the moment.

Coming back to the start screen isn’t the bug, being unable to leave Canvas Only mode while on the start screen is the bug xP
