Wondering about Huion

I’m wondering if the huion kamvas 13 is worth buying or not? As a stand alone tablet.

I’d hate to make another hardware bad choice.

i dont have a huion kamvas, but i have a HS611 (which doesnt have a screen), so all i can say is that the quality of the huion brand is really good for its price, it is really responsive, and has really high quality materials so it is pretty durable. Although i would recomend watching reviews to see how the screen is like with color acuracy, brightness and responsiveness just to be sure

I have the huion Kamvas 22 and really like it a lot.
mine is a monitor, but, it is really good. I am older and want a larger screen than the 13 inch would provide ( eye problems etc ) I suppose it would be just as good.

Mine I think 611 also was worth the money.

Mine is worth every cent I had to spend for it, it is the most recent of the 1060P-Models, but has no display. Two friends of mine use larger Kamvas-Models and are very happy with them. A third friend wasn’t fully convinced and bought a Wacom after he sold his Kamvas, but now he says that the Kamvas was pretty close to the Wacom, and now he recommends Huion tablet’s to all those who need a very good pen-display for a budget rate, and Wacom for those who want and can afford the best because of a few features more or better implemented as he says.

Oh i previously have this tablet,

I think it’s worth it. A friend of mine who does a lot more art than me has this tablet as her main.

Case in this tablet survived being used with only electric fan cooling it in one of the hottest region in Philippines. Also being lodge around anywhere I go, survived being used as second monitor and is now surviving my 2 year old niece hands [that’s why its previously cause it was now hers :joy:]. She’s a gentler toddler but still she’s still pretty rough with it.

So I can say it held up well and if I remember correctly its about 2years old now.

Now i want to caution you about a few things. This tablet model have a textured screen protector [ that things scratches bad] - I would recommend getting the felt nibs along side it. That one is kinder to the screen.

This is a tablet that connects to a laptop or pc. so you need to check compatibility and how your setup will be.

As for other huion products - they held relatively well for me.

For tech like this do note that bad batches/ item may pop up so make sure that the place you will buy it from have reasonable return policy. Their customer service in terms of driver issue is spotty also if you are from a western country don’t expect them to answer at daytime to you.

The Huion Kamaz 13 might be a bit small, though great for travel. Unless your traveling a lot your better of with something bit bigger if you have the desk space.

Though unless you planning to go to art school/university which btw most campuses is are usually wacom equipped. That due to the idea, that students are going off to the art industry soon after.

Your better off with huion or xp-pen.

@kaichi1342 thank you that’s super important to know.

@CryingTart I’m currently using a Samsung tablet with a 10" display and no active pen support so this would be a step up for me. lol

@Michelist good to know it’s what I wondered and the reviews I found were mostly paid for so I wasn’t sure I could trust them.

I don’t think Huion needs to pay for reviews, their tablets are good enough to deem this unnecessary.
But that doesn’t mean they won’t do it, as many other manufacturers do, in hopes of selling even more.

It seems to me that the greed for money of some is limitless, the more they have, the more they want to multiply it. :chart_with_upwards_trend:

I remember using an HUION H610 a few years back, before they switch the price tag that was at the time 75$ and had a battery stylus, lasted me about 2 year. The buttons on it fell off/broke. <y least favorite thing about was it was the battery power stylus, so I couldn’t use it too long cause it was kind of heavy on my hand.
