I used krita for a week and firstly it was ok. All brushes worked and I could draw. But now only one brush works if I use graphic tablet. However, if I use keyboard all brushes are working.
Hello and welcome to the forum
Which brush preset is the only one that works?
When you say "…If I use keyboard … ", do you mean the mouse or trackpad?
In the Brush Presets docker, do you see the usual collection of brush presets?
I did not download any new brushes and all brushes work only with trackpad. With graphic tablet works only “Basic-1” brush.
What do you mean by ‘work’ and ‘not work’?
If you select the Basic-2 Opacity brush preset and paint with the graphics tablet, does it paint anything on the canvas at all?
Not at all
Which graphics tablet do you have?
If it worked at first, but does not now, something has changed.
Have you made any changes to the settings in krita or to the tablet settings in its setp/configuration utility?
Can you post a full screen screenshot (.png) while this problem is happening with the Basic-2 Opacity brush preset?
Also, go to Settings → Configure Krita → Tablet settings and click the Open Tablet Tester button to get the tablet tester window. Then draw with the stylus on the grid area and note the events log at the ight hand side.
Do you see pressure signals (P=xy.z%) with good values?
I have GAOMON S620 graphic tablet and I didn’t make any changes. P is 00.0%
Your tablet is being recognised as a tablet with a pressure signal, but the tablet is sending a pressure signal of P=00.0%
For a mouse or a trackpad, krita knows it’s a mouse or trackpad and uses an internal pressure value of 100 %. This is why the brushes work with your trackpad.
The Basic-1 brush does not have a pressure control, it’s always full opacity and full size, so it works with your tablet.
The other brushes do have pressure control and so with that tablet they are always 00.0% opacity, size, flow etc.
If it worked and then stopped working with no changes to the settings in krita or in your tablet settings/configuration software, it may be that a Windows update or other interfering software has damaged the tablet driver.
I suggest that you check for the latest driver on the Gaoman website and download it. Use the driver CD that came with your tablet if you can’t find the latest driver from Gaoman.
Disconnect the tablet, uninstall the current driver, restart your computer, install the new driver (or reinstall the old one), restart your computer then connect the tablet.
Run the tablert setup/configuration utility to make sure it’s all working and set up as you like it. Try it with krita.
