Type of device* : Display tablet
Brand and version of the device: XP-Pen artist 22

Description of the issue (you can include screenshots):

Hello there, I just got a new laptop and I’m having some issues, my desktop configuration consists of 2 screens on “extend” mode and I have selected the XP-Pen monitor as the monitor to display the cursor.
Issue:
The issue is, when I use Krita, the cursor and pen pressure works fine on the canvas but when I move to the menus, the cursor either stops from moving (On the left side and the upper menu) or it offsets some inches to the right.

I’ve tried different monitor configurations on the driver menu and when using whole screen as display surface the cursor offsets only when on the canvas to the left and works fine on the menus (wich I find kind of funny for no reason). I tried changing the krita wintab advanced configuration and same results. The cursor works fine on Blender, Paint 3D or BlockBench. But sometimes the offset is also present on the “pen pressure” display of the tablet drivers. I tried disabling Windows ink, but I can’t seem to find the folder when going Windows tab+R>gpedit.msc etc…

I’m a bit frustrated so I hope anyone can help me out, thanks oin advance for reading my problem.

Hello and welcome to the forum

Have you tried swapping the tablet from Secondary to Primary display (or vice versa) in the Windows display setup facility?

Thank you for the welcome.

Yes I have it as the primary display, I switched it and the issue is still there

Does the tablet driver software have the facility to create separate profiles for different applications?
If it does, you shouldf create a profile for krita and select/use that when making any changes in there.

Have you got the latest driver from the XP-Pen website and installed it following full power down restart procedure after every action after uninstalling the old driver?

Is the Windows system scaling set to 100%. If not, try that.

I assume this means that you’ve set the configuration to Wintab at the krita end?
Have you tried Windows-Ink and enabled Windows-Ink in the driver software?
Does the driver software have the ability to enable/disable Windows-Ink?

I’m throwing ideas out here but I’ve never used a tablet-monitor device or an XP-Pen device.

However, there is something strangely familiar about what you describe (a ghost memory of previous topics I’ve read) so I’m hoping that somebody else is famiiar with or at least aware of this problem.
It may take a while if it happens at all.

No, the driver is quite lacking I can’t do any of the things you mentioned.

Althought I think I almost fixed it. I changed the krita end and set windows ink and restarted Krita (The other times I did it I didn’t restart krita, my fault.) Thank you for the help. ^^

Hi. I am new to Krita.
I had a similar problem with you where the cursor works fine in the menus but when i move it near the canvas area, it stops moving.
I did not understand fully what I need to do. Can you explain it in detail? thankyou.

Of course, but first, are you using a graphic tablet?

yes. I am using the XP-Pen Deco 01 v2
