Device:
It’s a 12.2-inch, 2160x1440, Android 12 drawing tablet. Screen has a texture to it something like a smooth paper (similar to xp-pen deco1v2). Included pen is small has a single button and support a pressure sensitivity. Lines are smooth and pressure sensitivity works as expected.
Two biggest cons that I currently found are that pen support tilt but the tablet do not ? (Tested the pen on xp-deco pro gen 2 and tilt works there). Cursor is slightly misaligned, holding a pen in right hand on 45 degree angle, lines comes slightly to a bottom right. Image of offset that needs to be applied to get line correct (program Ibis Paint X).
Krita:
Compared to PC version it runs well. Experience without physical buttons is pretty bad, but using Bluetooth keyboard makes it good again. I do have two big and two small issues with krita on android.
Selected tool do not track the pen. It causes transform tool to not work properly giving unexpected results.
Keyboard shortcuts works only after you move your pen (Pressing ‘space’ to move canvas, the hand icon do not appear unless I move pen over the screen).
Button on a pen do not work at all (it works on Ibis Paint X and Infinite Painter).
Cursor misalign cannot be fixed in krita.
If anybody have any questions or advice how to fix issues above feel free to message me.

On my side I don’t use Krita on the Xp-Pen Magic Drawing Pad, experience is too bad in comparison to what i’m used to have with my Laptop + Xp-Pen Artist 16 pro.
Concerning the button, it works on some app (like Infinite painer as you wrote) but yes it’s not recognized by Krita; I think it’s more a Qt stuff.
Concerning pen alignment, on my side if pen is properly aligned if pen if vertical/perpendicular to screen.
If not (that’s the case because not sure people get their pen perfectly vertical when drawing) there’s an offset
It seems the position is not were the nib is in contact with screen (green marker) but more the basis of pen (red marker)
On my side Krita’s canvas is reactive and painting works well, but the UI itself is laggy.
Note I love this tablet: size, weight, battery, and in top of this the screen quality is really impressive
I’m just not using Krita on it, as I was expecting when I bought it
May I ask how’s the tablet after several months in general? Also, I’d like to ask a couple of specific things:
There was an out-of-the-box cursor misalignment problem, but I’ve heard they’ve updated it so you can calibrate it in the settings. Is this true?
Have you tried using SuperDisplay with it? It’s an app that basically turns your android device into a secondary monitor for Windows, and you can keep the pen functionalities of the tablet. if you’ve tried it or going to try it out, could you let us know your experience with it?
I’m asking these because I’m considering getting the tablet for remote work and might pair it with a laptop, since Krita runs better on Windows.
Hello, i bought the magic drawing pad (the android 14 version with a better stylus) and it’s
a really nice object. Really thin, nice texture of the screen. I am just not used to see my hand above my drawing because before that i draw on a pc on a tablet without screen.
I really wanted to use Krita on it, but there is few problem which need some adjustments.
1 - Can’t change shortcut on stylus (i wanted Ctrl+z on the clic, instead it’s the spacebar which is useless on a tablet where the page can already be moved with finger) so i put the cancel button on the UI to be clicked when needed.
2 - No clean UI with layers. On a PC it’s not a problem, but on a little screen it’s overloaded with info. I closed everything but i need the layers and i would love to have just the image of the page without the name and a thiner docker. Sometime, i use sketchbook pro just to enjoy the clean screen. But not so long, i miss a lot of tools.
3- The biggest is : - No “comic manager” on android !!
I make comic books and this fonctionality is THE reason i don’t need Clip Studio Paint on PC. And if CSP didn’t ask for a monthly subscribe on tablet (adobe style) i would have bought it. I didn’t find a solution about this yet but i keep looking
This is the 3 issues i have. Except that, Krita is working like a charme !So, if you want me to test things on it, just ask, and if you have suggestions or solutions to my issues, you are very welcome
