I have a problem with my graphics tablet and krita (maybe is only my tablet i am new and i have nothing to compare to). Basically when i draw it is really hard to get 100% pressure level.
This is my configuration:
Windows 11
deco 01 V3 tablet (no screen)
krita 5.2.13
Everything is updated to the last version
I tried both using windows ink (both in the driver and in krita) or disabling it (again both in krita and in the driver)
The only way i have been able to reasobly get to “max pressure” is basically using this “selfmade” curve pressure:
I also tried to change the krita “input pressure global curve” but with little result.
Is this normal? I am a complete beginner so maybe everyone does that but it seems strange to me.
Thanks for any help you can offer
Which brush presets did you try in Krita? With many it is hard to reach max pressure (if they allow for it at all) because they were made that way on purpose (depending on what real life brush they are supposed to emulate). I have a Wacom tablet and I also find that for some I have to press really hard to get them to full size/opacity/color or whatever pressure controls on them.
are the pressure levels reported correctly? I remember reading on some other topic, someone had it that it won’t ever go higher than 50% for some reason.
when i use tablet tester i can reach 100% pressure. However i need to use a significant pressure. Also i tried to add a control point in the middle and move it up. I was unable to see significant changes but maybe it is my impression.
It also depends on the brushes you use in Krita, the “size” option must be enabled in the editor; check the pressure on the driver window, mine is 8107
Grazie Roberto.
I am starting to think my problem is probably not Krita related…. You see in your image you reach a pressure of 8107, almost the maximum. I think/guess you can reach it quite easily. In my case the maximum is 16383 but anything above 12000 requires a lot of pressure, really wayyy too much…..
I wrote to xppen support to see if they have any advice at this point.
Thanks again
