Zoom to cursor

Hi, I am new to Krita but I have a question on zoom to cursor. If I use the mouse wheel, zoom happens towards or away from the cursor. I am now using a Graphics tablet and would like to use 2 of the buttons to zoom in and out so I do not have to reach for the mouse constantly. I found the keyboard shortcuts for Krita zoom are the '+" and '-" keys. These are two keys I can map to my Graphics tablet to simulate the Mouse Scroll wheel. The problem is, this action does not zoom towards or away from the cursor (brush). Does anyone know how to configure Krita to zoom to the cursor when using the keyboard shortcuts?

Thanks

I’m afraid there can be no actions for zooming in and out that take cursor to consideration.
The default way of zooming in krita is to use middle mouse button (that usually is mapped to the stylus button by default) while pressing ctrl key.
You can customize those type of shortcuts in settings > configure krita > canvas input settings > zoom canvas by adding a new action that goes into “zoom mode” but I believe that it needs some sort of “mouse event” - pressing any of the mouse buttons.

With a graphics tablet, I press and hold Ctrl+space then swipe up/down with the stylus and it zooms in/out at the place on the canvas where I first touch with the stylus.
Can you map a tablet key to Ctrl+space?

Thank you. That did the trick and it mapped perfectly to my tablet button.

AhabGreybeard’s replay is great. This is the most dynamic shortcut for zoom. I always use this shortcut. I take this opportunity to say that there is another very good shortcut:
Shift + space bar = rotates canvas freely.
If you need to center, press key 5. (4 and 6 also rotate, but with predefined increments)
