Hello All. For the past year and a half I’ve been making vector libraries both from scratch and free resources I’ve found on the internet. In total I made 19 libraries with hundreds of different assets. They are now published and ready to use. I will make more in the future but for now this is it. These took a lot of work so I’d appreciate it if you all checked them out and spread the word. Link to Gumroad
I’d like to give credit to my buddy Ahab for helping me test them and giving me feedback. I made and included a Krita Installation guide, so don’t be shy if you don’t know how this works. I’ll be posting this everywhere so apologies if it seems like I’m spamming. Please go visit the original artists. I’ve put links to them everywhere. Feel free to give me feedback on these.
@Ryo has done an amazing amount of work over the past year and it was a pleasure to see it all develop and come to completion so lots of kudos to Ryo.
I just gave him my opinion and some minor advice now and then.
I’ve seen the plans for future vector libraries and it’s good times ahead
You can Import them in the ‘proper’ way as noted in the installation guide.
My personal preference is to manually place them in a named folder in the -/krita/symbols folder then start krita. Then the Vector Libraries docker shows where and what they are.
I named the folder ‘Ryo-A’ because I anticipate having a ‘Ryo-B’ folder one day:
As noted in the Installation Guide, the symbols are large and I find the easist way to quickly deal with that is to zoom out (if needed) and then grab a corner handle, press and hold Ctrl+Shift then drag the handle to resize smaller. The Ctrl+Shift key combination gives resize to centre and maintains aspect ratio.
It’s definitely a process. Is there anything specific you want? If you have a request you can add it to my list. It’s stuffed but I can add it at least. When I’ll get to it is another conversation entirely though lol.
