Advice… hmm. I’m a bit lost myself, so I might not always be able to point to the right direction. But I can get lost with you. 
Why not start by posting some of your illustrations? You’ll find many people ready to give advice and encouragement if you seek it.

We need a bit more information about what you have problems with or we can only guess and infodump some random stuff on you.
The forum has a search feature, perhaps you can already find something you want to know about?
