I agree there should be a separate section just discussing android. I havent experienced the stroke issues.
I believe i mentioned it before but it would be great if krita detects the eraser tip from the wacom pens. With a wacom emr pen you can use it on a s22 ultra. Other mobile apps have compatibility.
For what Iâve read, the Krita for desktop use the second tip to store a brush preset, so this can be used to quickly swap between two favourite brush presets. So if you choose a eraser brush with that tip it will be stored, have you tried doing this?
Maybe itâs not implemented yet on the android, @sh-zam should be able to enlighten us with this.
But just to share how itâs supposed to work on Krita, you have to select a brush with it.
I had a pen with this tip before but never used it, i find way more faster just selecting other brush than rotating the pen on my hand every time i want to erase .
@sh-zam I found that strange behavior when you will start stroke ( just click on canvas) and donât move pen for a moment after that stroke is" freeze" ( you will add only a dot on canvas nothing more ) you need to take pen from screen and start again to draw. @AxelFar can you replicate that bug ?
No, it looks like the problem i had before sh-zam fixed the right button problem, are you sure youâre using the last apk version?
Try to uninstall it and install it again (not install over it), and let us know if you still have it.
Unfortunately yes, backup your brushes before doing this, you will also lose all other configurations youâve changed on Krita and will need to change them again.
hello I updated my krita from the one on gdrive link and it seems i lost the hold to right click functionality [either way mightâve gotten my settings messed up, but i made sure touch painting is off]
The hold to Right click was causing some issues with painting, being unintentionally activated with the pen while drawing, we discussed it in the previously comments, so sh-zam removed the functionality, i think that he will add it in the future in other way, maybe as a gesture option.
If you press and hold with your finger, not the pen, it should still works as a right click on dockers, it works on the toolbox so you can change the icon size, and also on layers so you can still acess layers options for example.
Also @sh-zam, i realized that by default the âOne finger tapâ is on âPan Canvasâ, wich isnât usable, i think you should place it in the âShow Pop Widgetâ by default.
After reinstall everything works great I must say that krita on android right now is super solid I did not expect to many crashes ( at least not as many as other app )
Did you know that now krita works with the s-pen gesture actions :D? In older version it wasnât work Gesture with s-pen action are amazing combo
@sh-zam The S-Pen Button is recognizable as middle mouse button right know, i use it to Color Pick, so itâs possible to do it already, on the âTouch Gestureâ i can add a Mouse Button action type, press the S-pen button, that will be recognized as middle button, and select Toggle Eraser.
I think it just need to be more clear, maybe if you could add a new type ( like there is Gesture, Mouse button, Mouse wheel, Key Combination) called âS-pen buttonâ (with the middle button already on it) it would be very clear and possible to use everywhere. Maybe rename âTouch Gesturesâ with just âGesturesâ, since touch gestures can be used in every other menu, and to show better that this âS-Pen Buttonâ type could be used there too.
Anyway, just an idea i think would not be hard to do as it use what is already there.
Also the "Button Action on âS-pen Actionsâ, with the click and double click option, donât work right now, so i think it would be interesting to remove it if the current âmiddle mouseâ approach will be used, or rework how the S-pen Button work and use this menu.
Since Iâm using your builds as main apk now, yes i would like it
@cosmos10040, the one finger drag on Pan is great, Iâve mean one finger tap that isnât usable.
You have to drag to Pan, just tapping on canvas for it do nothing so itâs better for the one finger tap to be elsewhere by default. Just to be clear.
By default one finger drag is on Color Pick, but can be easy changed to Pan on settings, I also like to use it for Pan.
Also, does anyone else likes to use the S-Pen button to Color Pick? I think itâs the best place for it and couldnât actually paint without it, have to use finger for it slow me down by a lot.
All of that itâs already possible now if you change the settings
