Huhuh there I am again grinning ^^
the alpha thing is a bit cumbersome, you have to put that in a separate folder as well, like when you want to fill in outlines. Is there something new planned for the future or will this be retained?

I don’t know what you mean by this.
Can you explain in more detail, with screenshots?
okay =)
you paint on a flat OUTLINES, any pattern, you can paint them or have them filled if you put one underneath and take the filling bucket. But this has to happen if the levels are in a folder, otherwise it won’t work.
You have to do the same thing if you have an alpha layer, also in a folder.
Folders within folders are created… which consumes a lot of memory and is confusing.
Hope I could explain it well =)
Best regards

Yes, ‘alpha inheritance’ requires isolation in a group because inheritance comes into the layer from all the way down the layer stack, unless limited by a group boundary.
Groups can be collapsed if you’re not working in them.
There are discussions about also implementing the simpler Photoshop clipping mask facility and you can read about it here:
