An article on Hackaday I read: "Digital Paint Mixing Has Been Greatly Improved With 1930s Math"

So I recently read this article on Hackaday which linked to this Github page which outlines a more accurate color mixing method for digital painting. I immediately thought of my favorite paint program, and thought that perhaps it might be of use to the developers. Krita by the way is by far the best program I have ever used and I’ve been using them since Deluxe paint on my Amiga in the late 80s.

It appears to have limited scalability at the moment but the seed of the idea may grow into something you can use and they seem quite open about sharing it.

Their color mixing demo linked on the Github page feels very accurate to real world paint mixing as far as I can tell. Perhaps it may be useful to you at some point.

I believe this topic has already been discoursed in the forum:

It has been suggested multiple times but we simply cannot implement their color mixing into Krita because of their’s and Krita’s licensing restrictions and the method is patented, too.
