Animation advice help

Could someone tell me how do I animate on 2s and 3s in krita . It would be great if someone tells it , very detailed way or maybe in some sort of a video form.

The duration of a frame is set by the Frame rate fps.
Animation by 1s, 2s, etc is up to you to arrange by keyframe positioning/spacing.

On the Timeline, the right-click option menu has the Hold Frames option that has further options for Inserting and Removing multiple hold frames over a range of selected frames.
That can be used to change animation by 1s to animation by 2s, etc.

The linked answer is very ‘bare bones’ and I’ve often thought about making a tutorial for animating by 1s, 2s, 3s, etc. However, I don’t have much free time or mental effort to spare nowadays.
A good tutorial would have explanations, screenshots and also have animated videos showing end results and comparing differences.
With my artistic abilities, I’d struggle with dancing stick figures. I’m sure you could do better
If you can do anything, no matter how short or small, in that subject area then it would be very useful for people learning to animate.

Ya, @AhabGreybeard i get what you mean I learned by a YouTube video myself. So I can make a basic tutorial for Krita 5.2 however i don’t animated on just 1s, 2s, 3s i do all that timing and spacing stuff but let me see what i can do. I guess a basic ball animation would probably be the easiest to follow.
I actually made a tutorial making a ball animation on 1s in 2023 but its outdated for like Krita 4. and not very explanatory.

It sucks that there can’t be a (video) tutorial. For me I never really understood how to do 2s/3s . If a proper tutorial were to exist, it will help others on this topic that doesn’t know about it.

Animating on 2s is just repeating every frame twice, and on 3s is repeating every frame three times.

So an animation with the frames ABC. On 2s it would be AABBCC and on 3s would be AAABBBCCC.

So if you adjust the fps you will have the same effect. However sometimes being on 2s with normal fps you can cheat and do something on 1s to make a correct timming of the action your animating.
