April's moodboard challenge

I’ve been pretty busy this week so it was a bit difficult to connect to post the challenge even if the image was already done :smiling_face_with_tear:

This month moodboard:

Always thankful to @aprikosh and @freyalupen for participating. I hope you like it :white_heart:

What a gorgeous selection. Out of curiosity, what’s that image in the lower right? Seems so intriguing.
Thanks for posting this! It’s so helpful to keep some sort of theme during studies, this is much appreciated!

@aprikosh Thank you. I hope you can participate this month, can’t wait to see what you’ll do :white_heart:

@Tamoha The image of the man in the small boat and fabrics?

Yes, exactly. Do you know any details about it? It just seemed so well put together.

Sorry, I don’t know more. Probably it’s some kind of traditional way of fishing or maybe clean dye fabric.

Oh no worries. I apologize for bothering you haha. I quick search led to these results (you are on the right tracks!):

A fishing village in Vietnam, called Vinh Hy. The photos seems to be taken by Quang Tran. It depicts women sewing fishing nets. The collection is absolutly phenomenal. Maybe an extra inspiration to be coupled with the board.

Have a good week!

Don’t worry for asking, sadly I don’t have much free time lately so I couldn’t do any research. Thank you so much for looking about it and share the info here :white_heart: These are absolutely beautiful!!

I had some vague ideas, but didn’t get very far with it. I’m trying not to feel too embarrassed about the quality of my very rough sketches.

The idea of this one is a fairy who lives in a fountain and has a sort of cold, intimidating expression. The water and the fairy are covered with butterflies, and there’s pumpkins/lanterns in the back which may or may not be floating in midair. But all that detail would have been a lot to figure out how to execute.

The second one is similar to the first but with a giant flower instead of a fairy. Less details to work with, but I still abandoned it quickly.

Then the last one is just flowers in a vase, covered in butterflies and surrounded by pumpkin lanterns, which might be floating. I like this one because the idea is simpler, so the simple sketch actually looks okay, like I could go for a minimalist artstyle.

Absolutely loving every sketch! Thank you so much for participe in April’s challenge.
Even if you make just sketches it’s okay. Maybe you’re in a moment when you need to do that instead of a final art. Don’t be too hard on yourself and just enjoy the process :white_heart:

My entry for April’s moodboard challenge, this time I only use InkP 06 Dip Pen Diluted one of my favorite brushes from

the time to draw was about 100 minutes, I tried to master this brush control so I tried to use only one layer.
