Best way to reduce image size?

I need to make an image smaller for sending in emails and messages. But, I wanted to make sure that the background doesn’t get too blurred/pixelated… What are the best settings to start with?

The image is 4775 x 2585.

1000 x 1000 and below, but depends on mb size of image
there different size/mb limit in each format
example discord is 8mb but gmail is 25 mbs though it could be 5 mbs depending on setting.

When you have the resolution of an image you are left with 1/4 of the original pixel count, usually thats good enough

Png to jpg conversion would also save huge amount of space even with default settings

Webp is more space efficient than both but the preview doesnt work in most programs

For reduction it is usually best to use proportional values, like these:

• 93.75% • 87.50% • 75.00% • 62.50% • 50.00% • 37.50% • 25.00% • 12.50% •

You won’t always use all of them, of course… and if necessary, you can round the values: instead of 87.50% use the closest even value: 88.00%.

Yeah, that’s the only drawback with being on Android. I’ll see about the plugin when I’m on my Windows computer.
