Bezier curve doesn't work?

I’ve never understood how to control the Bezier Curve Tool.

For the Bezier Pen Tool on Vector Layers. is it possible to undo only the last drawn node in case of an error? Currently hitting Escape or Ctrl+Z clears the entire path. In Inkscape Ctrl+Z undo’s the last node. Ofcourse these nodes can be adjusted later , but if this option is available then it would be more faster.

Hello Krita users/developers, How can we use the bezier/pen tool in krita like photoshop to draw a straight line after creating a curve. Let me explain in detail, what I am trying to do. Imagine that I want to select with the pen/bezier tool (I am using the Bezier Curve Selection Tool) a cylinder. A cylinder, as you know has both round shapes and straight shapes. I’d suggest using vector polygons/polylines then using the Edit Shapes Tool to edit and adjust the line segments any way you like.
