When drawing my brush is offset to the left of my cursor

Maybe try to see if windows ink helps.
Which version of krita are you using?
Is this the first time you’ve used it on this laptop?
Press Tab to go into Canvas Only mode (you can press Tab again to go back to normal) then zoom in so that the white canvas area fills the screen.
Try drawing in different places.
Is the offset (vertical and horizontal) constant or does it vary depending on where you try to draw?
For the suggestion by @EyeOdin , do Settings → Configure Krita → Tablet settings, then select the Windows Ink option, press OK, Quit krita then restart it.
