Brushes problem in 5.0.0-beta1

I installed the Krita 5 beta 1. She took a good picture first. Only when I looked through the brush list, I am shocked. The brush back of the IForce 73 and also some standard brushes had a cross. So are not usable. I don’t know if this is the right place, if not, please change.

Well, I didn’t notice that there are so many bundles and there are two folders at the same time.Some brushes show “x”. Same as @fizzyflower encountered. But there is also an abnormal brush in Ramon’s “muse” bundle but it has only one. [image]

Great news re v5.0; however, after downloading and trying out, many brush sets do not appear to work anymore e.g. Ramon’s RGBA brushes. I’m not particularly computer savvy - I’m just an artist - so if anyone can suggest a reliable fix in simple terms, I’d appreciate it. Other complete sets - and individual brushes from sets - also don’t seem to work; I will post when I get a list.

EDIT: Forgot to mention, I’m a Mac user (10.15.7). Pesi’s brushes worked fine for me in v5.0 Beta without any intervention. IForce73’s ‘Experimental Oil’ brushes don’t work either.

I downloaded brushes from Krita’s website - “Muses 2019 Release Brushes”.
In Krita 5 beta 1 they don’t work. When I want this brush to turn on, Krita crashes and turns off. regards

That problem with Fizzy Flower’s brushes is dealt with here:

The brushes created in Krita 4 will work correctly by either moving the brush tip files out of any subfolders within /brushes/ or selecting the correct brush tip file manually and overwriting the brush. I don’t think it will be an issue for me anymore since I will create bundles for any future releases. But if any small number of users was using their own custom brushes and happened to have their custom brush tips in a subfolder for better organization, they might get confused regarding why the…

Ok, i have started my own checking for the bundle Muses. And i have modified the Muses bundle I have reviewed the 42 and updated or upgraded respecting what the bundle was. I think we are talking about 2013, wow Is a very good set… Remember the old days of Krita 2.8, Some parameters wasn’t even there. And that was noticeable in the brushes. The following brushes in the Digital Atelier brushpack don’t work at all for me in 5.0.0 beta-1:

WaterC 02 Sumi E
WaterC 04 Flat
WaterC 07 Big wash
WaterC 12 Remove water

Also the DA Oil 04 Fine bristles brush doesn’t behave as expected.

Just move all the brush tip files from /brushes/essentials to /brushes/ root folder right now.

There’s no more weird “x icons” All the brushes like the smudge brushes now work No more brushes that automatically start with black color Added a few brush tips to the /brushes/ folder to fix a few brushes that didn’t work.
