Can't find a solution to pen pressure sensitivity problems

Hi,
I´have a HUION GT-221Pro grafic tablet, it works good but the problem is, that the pen pressure sensitivity don`t work with Krita. In the tablet-settings the pressure-test works well. I searched for a solution, read in forums & watched tutorials on youtube… but none of the solutions I found there fixed the problem.( I have Win 10 on my laptop)
Solutions I found:
-If you are on windows click the settings tab in the top left (across fro file, edit etc.). Click configure Krita and then click the display tab. On the drop down menu at titled Render (needs to restart) select OpenGL. Then click ok.

Any suggestions what to do?
Thank you so much!
Kiki

Try to disable Windows Ink in your Huion drivers! Then test the two different Tablet Input APIs (Wintab and Windows 8+ Pointer Input (Windows Ink))
Remember to close and restart Krita when changed!
Then, if that does not work, enable Windows Ink on your Hiuon drivers, then test the two Input APIs again! One of those combinations might work😄

In my experience, my tablet works better in Krita with Wintab in Krita and Windows ink enabled on my tablet driver, but in my previous drawing program with Windows Ink disabled in the driver. My Surface Pro screen works better with Windows Ink selected in Krita, but this can be different depending on your tablet.

@Rakurri
I tryed what you said & It didn’t work with Wintab, so I disabled Wintab in the Huion driver and enabled Windows Ink. This in combination with “Windows 8+ Pointer Input (Windows Ink)” worked !!
I’ve been trying to fix this problem for days & I’m so incredibly happy now, thank you so much!!
:star_struck:

Windows 8+ Pointer depends on Windows Ink so if they turn it off in tablet settings, it won’t work. I did however notice that on some tablets to have Wintab working you need to disable it, otherwise events are duplicating in a weird and incorrect way…

Wintab is also generally preferred because it has some more features, but it shouldn’t be all of that difference. Most 2-in-1 devices are Windows Ink - only now though, but on the plus side they work right away.

Created an account just so I can say thank you for this. I was absolutely about to give up on Krita after about an hour of trying to make this work and just use something else, but good thing I found this thread! Thanks guys!

Changing Krita setting to “Windows 8+ Pointer Input” and enabling Windows Ink in Huion fixed it for me. Thank you.
