i started to get into refining it more and more - and i caught myself before spending dozens of hours pushing all the details - i think the style adds to the emotion.

Beautiful work. This brings me back to the fear I had often encountered when I was little. This piece captures the emotion perfectly. (my fear was the dark and often looked like this when bedtime came)
