Changing the Filter Layer settings during the animation

I learned to use the Filter Layer with many effects and filters, and suddenly, a lightbulb popped in my head.
I tried moving the opacity of the filter mask and it actually looks very professional!
It can be good for an animation when someone opens their eyes as a POV.
So, I wanted to ask if it is possible to add frames to Filter Layer and to put different settings for each frame inside Filter Layer?
For example, a little bit of blur on the first few frames, and then much more blur on other Filter Layer frames.
I am loving this feature!
Appreciate any advice!

I don’t know if all masks can be key framed but perhaps this gives you what you need

Filter Masks and Transparency Masks are greyscale images that control the ‘strength’ of the mask function at a point on the layer.
As images, they can be animated using the same techniques as used for Paint Layers.

The Animation Curves docker is used for animated Transform Masks and for layer Opacity variation with time.

Guys, I tried using opacity automation as I call it and it worked!
This is a very good feature!
However, it would be great if you could at one filter setting on couple of filter layer frames, and then the different setting or even a different effect on the other individual filter layer frames that we choose!
That would be awesome!
Still, thanks to you guys for everything!!!
Many thanks!

You can change the filter effect/function by having two or more different Filter Masks on the same paint layer and then fade/switch between them by animating them so as to give a cross-fade/switch between black and white or a greyscale transition.

In fact, by painting greyscale sections on the two masks, you can have, for example, a blur on one part of the paint layer and an HSV shift on another part of the paint layer with edge enhancement somewhere else on the paint layer, or any combination of anything you like. All that can be animated.
It’s all up to you to arrange it and organise it.
