I’m using the Krita 5.0 beta, and I noticed a possible bug when I was using the Continuous Selection Tool.
When I only have the ink/line art layer, it works perfectly; however, when I have a base layer, it selects only that entire section in the base layer even though, in the Tool Options, I have it set to All Layers.
With the same document and settings, do you get different results with the 4.4.8 or earlier versions?
When you have it set to All Layers, that’s “all visible layers” so could that explain the results you’re seeing?
I watched your video but it’s a complex image and a complex layer structure so I had difficulty in following what was happening.
Can you contruct a simple document with a simple image that illustrates the problem?
@gvintyrion and @LaTor I’ve marked the first post as off-topic and so the moderators will probably split that subject out into a new topic when they find the time.
@LaTor In your video at 0:19 when you reduce opacity of the ‘ink’ layer, it stays black in those places, but looking a bit ‘rough’. That confused me.
Regardless of that, there is a difference in behaviour from 4.4.7 to 5.0.0-beta1.
I think that 4.4.7 is correct and that 5.0.0-beta1 has some problem dealing with reduced opacity.
It would be good to have developer opinion on this and someone may know about any changes in this area.
