Any suggestions? Sorry that’s in Polish but its very important artwork, I had working at this for hours and it means a lot for me. I dont know how to open file
Did you move the file to a new folder?
It was always just sitting in my users folder
Okay, can you go to File Explorer?
I’m in and what?
cant reply more than 3 times
oh… i think you dont understand me, sorry my foult. I mean krtia cant open the file, I can find file itself but krita have problem to open it
Can you find the file itself?
Yes, that happens in Krita if there were any changes to the file outside of Krita. Krita finds the file by using the previous path that was saved. If that is changed, then Krita can’t find it unless you open the file with the new path, which you can do in File Explorer.
ok, how should I open it using explorer?
In File Explorer, right-click on the file, use “Open with” and choose Krita.
@gvintyrion Your posts should be in a new topic that you ceate to help with your problem.
This topic was created by @LaTor to deal with a problem with the Contiguous Selection tool.
I think @gvintyrion is new, because the forum didn’t let him reply more than three times. Is there a way to split the topic into a new one, I don’t know how to make his a new one on my end.
yes im new
im not sure am i doing it correct becouse iam on windows 7. Now its not working
Can you send me a screenshot? Using the snipping tool on Windows 7.
I’m on Windows 10.
Why can’t @gvintyrion start a new topic?
I don’t think @gvintyrion knows how to. I think @gvintyrion is a bit worried about the loss of the file, right now. I can show @gvintyrion how to later, if that’s okay.
You could start a new topic called “gvintyrion’s problem”
But it’s really too late now.
Nah, Discourse is so awesome that it lets me choose which comments to put in another thread I hope I divided them correctly.
Does it not open the file at all? It does report an issue with one layer, but it’s just one layer.
For everyone else: the text in Polish says: “There were issues during opening of …/Painting.kra: Reason: Pixel data can’t be read: Gvintyrion/layers/layer3”.
I was too late: the issue is followed here: gvintyrion's problem, krita don't want to open file
Hence, I’m closing this one, since this one has much more clutter.
