Deevad's speedpaintings (Sketchbook)

I like it and well done…I do kinda wish the dragon were more visible. It kinda merges with all the other colors.

Love the view of your working setup. much less cluttered than mine.

How long does it take to do your drawings/paintings?

Hey, the time to produce any piece is always variable (depending the topic, resolution, number of point of focus, complexity of the perspective system, number of characters, distortion of the lens ) it’s also unpredictable (you know, redoing a hand 3 times, etc… that can multiply time on the process) and depends also crazy things (eg. room temperature, I’m slower when it is summer and I melt).

For a real example, the renderings under are what I can do in around 40min, but you see: the characters are staged like on the scene of a theatre or in an aquarium, no distortion, no perspective. No subtle details for eyes, face orientation, no hands. Almost everything in them avoids complexity.

Paintings like those on my portfolio Portfolio - David Revoy could take me 10, to 20 hours. My webcomic episodes usually take me 3 months…
