Dotwork/Stippling Brush

I do a lot of dotwork and usually I do it dot by dot for a more organic feel, but sometimes I’m on a deadline and need something to speedup things or to fill a large area quickly. Since I started using Krita I could not find a dot brush that give me this feel, so I sat down and decided to make my own, and since the spirit behind krita is to share with the community, I’m sharing them with you, so anyone with a similar use case can enjoy them.

I tried to make it to go well with the default Ink Rough brush (because is the one I use to do my linework), but at this moment I’m still tinkering with the textured feel, it’s not right yet but ill update it when I get it right.
The brush is pressure sensitive, so if you draw light it will be a dotted line and the more pressure you put more random dots will appear.

Here is a piece that i did with the brush

I don’t know why but unfortunately i can’t install it into krita, any ideas why it doesn’t work?:sob: I‘d really like to try your brushes!

 Hello @ueberlebenskunst, and welcome to the forum!

Bundles are installed in Krita via ‘‘Settings’’ >> ‘‘Manage Resource Libraries…’’ and in the opening dialog you have to click on the button + Import, in the now opening dialog browse to the downloaded “Banca’s_Dotwork_V1.bundle”, select it and confirm the selection to import the bundle into Krita. After the installation, you have to look out for a brush called “Banca Dotwork”, you can enter its name into the search facility on the bottom of the Brush Preset-Docker.

Oh this is nice! I’ve been wanting something like this for a while. I considered making my own version but this is very close to what I need. I’ll post results and credit your brush. Thanks Banca!
